James Thurber papers, 1929-1962 (bulk 1929-1946).

Letters, manuscripts, postcards, and drawings by James Thurber and Helen Thurber, with individual letters by a few others. Consists mainly of letters from James Thurber to Ann Honeycutt on personal matters, documenting their relationship and containing much autobiographical material, with some commentary on events at the New Yorker. Also included are a few typewritten manuscripts of humorous essays by Thurber; 3 drawings, including one for the book Is Sex Necessary? with accompanying text; and postcards, mainly from Helen Thurber to Ann Honeycutt.
